Medical Media Group International (MMGI) is a global advocacy and awareness creation, non-profit, non-governmental organization aimed at promoting and encouraging good and healthy living lifestyles for all and sundry especially the vulnerable and less privileged in society. We seek to educate, inform and support them through specially designed television, radio, social and print media contents that curb existing health issues in various communities, meet the challenges of healthier living standards, improve their knowledge and bring about positive attitudinal changes as regards health matters.
MMGI has developed a cross-platform media solution through its flagship content, the “Telenurse Health Tips”. Telenurse Health Tips is a distance learning education programme via electronic (television) mediation to propagate first aid health care practices, natural curative remedies and promotion of healthy living standards. This participatory approach to health care delivery is derived from several needs assessments conducted by the Telenurse Research & Development team in various communities both rural and urban in many developing countries we operate in.
Fulfilling the many health education needs of the people coupled with the corporate social responsibilities of the Telenurse Foundation and the unflinching support of the Crystal Media Group, we believe our quest to satisfy or provide health care solutions to the people through mass communication will go a long way to impart in them positive changes and hence bring about community development.
The essence of life is to live a healthy, joyful and fulfilling life. Life becomes burdensome if one spends all the time and hard-earned income treating preventable ailments and diseases.

For many people, visiting a doctor is not something they enjoy doing. Even if you have an appointment, there is no guarantee that you will be able to see the doctor at the specified time.
For many people, visiting a doctor is not something they enjoy doing. Even if you have an appointment, there is no guarantee that you will be able to see the doctor at the specified time. Sometimes you have to wait for hours because the doctor is running late or has to attend to an emergency. Having to endure a prolonged wait when you are already feeling ill is an unpleasant experience for most people. At Telenurse Consulting, we provide general consultation services where patients can meet with our healthcare professionals to obtain advice on diagnosis, advice on management, or advice on referrals with recommendations and arrangements for a specific procedure or test in other reputable facilities.
At Telenurse Consulting, we encourage patients to undergo general consultation with us for these two key reasons:
Early Detection – Although prevention is always better than cure, early detection gives any person a fighting chance even against dreaded diseases like cancer. A regular skin consultation, for instance, can help a dermatologist monitor new growths or changes to the skin such as transformations of moles or presence of lesions.
Recommendation or Referral – Through medical consultation, a referral can be made in time to increase the likelihood of survival and allows medical professionals to easily manage both acute and chronic disease. Doctors will be able to impart preventive measures and other programs that can encourage a more proactive approach to the prevention, treatment, and management of diseases.
COVID-19 IN GHANA: TELENURSE invests massively in education and sensitisation campaign
Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Following the outbreak of the newly discovered Coronavirus disease which has been declared as a pandemic by the World Health Organization - WHO, the Medical Media Group International - a global advocacy and awareness creation, non-profit, non-governmental organization aimed at promoting and encouraging good and healthy living lifestyles for all and sundry especially the vulnerable and less privileged in society, sought to invest massively in education and sensitization campaigns on precautionary, protective and preventive etiquettes against contracting the COVID-19 disease. This is done with funding support from the Telenurse Foundation, Medical Media Group International, the Crystal Media Group (Crystal TV channels) and Mother Diana herself.
The Telenurse COVID-19 Project focuses on various major tasks such as: Telenurse R&D to conduct thorough research on the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Ghana and other African states; Production of special editions of Telenurse Health Tips for TV and New Media in 5 languages (i.e., English, Pidgin-English Twi, Ga and Ewe) coupled with vigorous marketing, promotions and broadcast of the produced contents; Telenurse Outreaches to pay visits to families of infected persons who have been confirmed to have contracted COVID-19 and get their reactions filmed in a documentary production as part of the campaign on Covid-19 education. The team will also visit Churches, Mosques, Transport Terminals, Markets and Public places, etc. to sensitize the general public on preventive measures in protecting against the virus. The Telenurse Foundation will provide support to Ghana’s Port Health Officials and frontline health workers by supplying Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs), including surgical nose masks, gloves and alcohol-based hand sanitizers. Telenurse Interactive will partner with the Ministry of Health, Ghana Health Service, Pharmacy Council of Ghana, Metropolitan Municipal and District Assemblies (MMDAs) and other health agencies in running a comprehensive public education campaign.
Most people who become infected experience mild illness and recover, but it can be more severe for others. Take care of your health and protect others by doing the following:
Get informed with latest information on the COVID-19 outbreak, available on www.mytelenurse.org website and through the Ghana Health Service official website, i.e. www.ghanahealthservice.org/covid19. You can also follow us on our social media handles: YouTube (mytelenurse), Instagram (@mytelenurse), Twitter (@mytelenurse) and Facebook (my telenurse) for more.
Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems like cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.
The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is to be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease it causes and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol based rub frequently and not touching your face.
The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it’s important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow).
At this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. However, there are many ongoing clinical trials evaluating potential treatments.
